立足漢傳佛教，回歸佛陀本懷，推展全人類共同需要的佛教，是聖嚴法師一生的理念。聖嚴教育基金會以「聖嚴思想與當代漢傳佛教的傳承與實踐」為主題，於二○一四年舉辦第五屆聖嚴思想國際學術研討會，廣邀各界學者參與。

聖嚴法師是具有時代前瞻性的啟蒙導師，他所提出的思想主張，不只是佛教的永續發展藍圖，更是全人類能共享共榮的心靈淨土。
